It’s been a couple of years since we moved and I am looking forward to celebrating with friends and relatives this coming weekend. Lately I’ve been trying out some new recipes especially in the baked goods department. For the time being, I am happy and satisfied doing things at a smaller scale and slowly see it grow. For now, I get a lot of orders and re-orders from people who have tried the goodies I’ve made.

Sweet goodies really do make people smile and I love seeing people smile and know that they are satisfied and got more than their money’s worth. So, I was thinking, why not bake and create small baskets of assorted goodies. This way, I can have them taste all kinds of baked goods that I am offering. I actually did the concept last Christmas and I was really surprised at how saleable the baskets were and that I get orders from people I do not even know. Today, I get orders from friends of friends for various occasions whether as a gift or baskets of goodies for giveaways.

I was always fascinated just watching my Mom cook and bake, that’s how I learned, too as I would try to whip up something every chance I had. I could very well remember how excited I was then every time she would ask us to decide which cake we would want her to make. I grew up watching my Mom and adoring her talent. She was an excellent baker and cook, too.

Now that I have my own family, I make sure that there is always something good and sweet coming out of my precious oven. I am so proud and thankful that I chose and took an inspiration from one of the designer kitchens featured in one of the websites over the internet. It makes me feel glad knowing and seeing my family and friends are always excited and can’t wait to have a taste of the goodies and different dishes I make.
